Happy News: It’s a win win
Mass uprisings against corrupt and autocratic rulers in both Armenia and Malaysia led to opposition leader victories! After a long stretch of heavy rigging and corruption, Malaysia saw its first change of ruling parties since its independence in 1957.

Moon Wisdom: Focus inward. Dream big.
Tuesday is a new moon, creating an opportunity to get in touch with your dreams. Our moon is in Taurus right now, making it an excellent time to focus on your confidence, your body and how you treat it, beauty, abundance, prosperity, security, growth, and creative pursuits.

Make time to create sacred space, journaling about what you want to happen in your life over the next six weeks or six months. You may wish to begin your journaling by pondering the phrase what if? Beware of restricting or limiting belief patterns and avoid telling yourself "no" at all costs. Dream big! The world is working to create possibilities that consistently work in your favor. Take a deep breath, kick your feet up and expect the moon!

Practicing “mountaintop consciousness
Sensations, images, memories, thoughts, feelings. All things your brain conjures up, but you get to decide how they affect you! Become an observer of the world your brain is bringing you for an interesting shift in perspective.

Example: When you see a red car go by, your brain brings you the image of a red car, but you don’t say, “I am a red car.” You say, “I see a red car.” Same thing, if that red car runs through a puddle and soaks you, your brain brings you the feeling of anger, but that doesn’t mean you “are” angry. Use your brain instead of letting it use you.

Pat yourself on the back
Your co-workers may not always give you the praise you deserve. Whether you’ve nailed a huge presentation or rocked a proposal, take a few seconds to give yourself a high five or write it on a brag sheet. Feeling good about yourself is an important part of self-care, and all it takes sometimes is taking a step back from the daily grind to remind yourself what a badass you are.

That dreaded interview question, “what’s your current salary?”
Is now ILLEGAL in states like California, but for the rest of us, here’s a simple way to tip-toe around the question: “I’ve done my research, and my current salary is well below market value. My salary requirements are based on that research, and I feel they’re fair according to my experience and skills.” Mic drop.

My sweet tooth just got sour.
With the U.S. potentially pulling out of the North American Fair Trade Agreement, we could face sparse  produce sections with a hefty price tag. The most impacted foods include chocolate (sigh), asparagus, avocados and tomatoes.

“I’m gluten free,” said… everybody.
Here’s a cheat sheet for gluten-free bread. Thumbs up: Sprouted grains, gluten-free whole grains, legumes and nuts. Make sure the product has been certified gluten-free by a third-party organization. Thumbs down: Texturizers, stabilizers, preservatives, artificial sweeteners and colors.

And as long as you’re shopping…
Here’s Lee From America’s list of ingredients to avoid: canola/vegetable/soybean/corn oils, cane sugar, agave, coconut sugar, barley malt, black star molasses, brown rice syrup, corn sweetener, palm sugar, dried oat syrup, evaporated cane juice, glucose, honey, simple syrup, maple syrup and sorghum syrup.

More than mud
Check yo’ shoes at the door! Research now shows that your kicks are tracking in, well, everything they step on (like asphalt toxins, herbicides and gnarly bacteria.) A look on the bright side: leaving your shoes at the door will lead to less mopping and happy feet. Thank you Captain Obvious.
